Vijnana yoga was developed by Orit Sen-Gupta and is base on years of study and investigation of various yoga practices, intensive study of sanskrit and the ancient sanskrit scripts and the Hindu philosophy

The Vijnana practice is constructed on 3 main elements quieting, listening and learning. Elements such as quieting the consciousness,  centring through intent, rooting, the expansion and awareness to breathing encourage personal investigation of the inner self which leads to a sensation of clarity.

The classes usually include meditation, asana (physical practice) and pranayama (breathing practice).

The meaning of the word Vijnana in sanskrit is an inner clarity that is revealed through personal experience, an act of self observation and contemplation.
